Ingredients
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 200 gm butter
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 tbsp almond chopped
  • 12 almonds
  • 1/2 cup coconut grated
  • fresh milk as required
Cooking Method
  1. Preheat oven at 325 degree F.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  3. Then add egg and mix well with hands.
  4. Add crushed coconut, plain flour, vanilla essence and baking powder.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add milk and knead a dough.
  7. Shape small balls out of dough.
  8. Put almond slices on each cookie.
  9. Place cookies in a greased cookie tray.
  10. Now place Cookie tray in the preheated oven.
  11. Bake for 15 minutes until edges and bottoms are lightly browned.
  12. Let it cool for 2 minutes on the wire rack.
  13. Chinese Almond Cookies are ready to serve.
