Ingredients
  • 250 gm White lobia soaked overnight
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • ½ cup Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1-½ tsp Chili powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp Green chilies sliced
Cooking Method
  1. Soak lobia overnight drain and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn light brown.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste. Sauté for another minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add soaked and drained lobia to the pan. Mix well with the masala mixture.
  7. Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for i hour or until the lobia is tendre cooked and the gravy thickens.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander and green chilies
  10. Serve hot with rice, roti, or naan.
