Ingredients
300gm Semolina
150gm Butter
250gm Sugar
1tbspBaking powder
few drops of Vanilla essence
4Eggs
50gm Almondpeeled
For Syrup:
125gm Sugar
1cupWater
½tspLemon skin
1tbspKewra
Cooking Method
To Make the Syrup:
In a pan combine 125 gm sugar, 1 cup water, lemon zest, and 1 tbsp kewra. Cook till sugar is dissolved. Now keep it aside.
To Prepare the Cake Batter:
In a bowl, Mix butter and sugar.
Now add eggs one by one in the batter.
Add a few drops of vanilla essence, semolina, and baking powder.
Beat till it is well combined.
Grease and line a cake tin, and spread sliced almonds on the base.
Pour cake batter on top.
Now bake in the preheated oven for 35 – 40 minutes.
Then remove from oven, and let it cool completely.
