Ingredients
  • 300 gm Semolina
  • 150 gm Butter
  • 250 gm Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • few drops of Vanilla essence
  • 4 Eggs
  • 50 gm Almond peeled
For Syrup:
  • 125 gm Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ tsp Lemon skin
  • 1 tbsp Kewra
Cooking Method
To Make the Syrup:
  1. In a pan combine 125 gm sugar, 1 cup water, lemon zest, and 1 tbsp kewra. Cook till sugar is dissolved. Now keep it aside.
To Prepare the Cake Batter:
  1. In a bowl, Mix butter and sugar.
  2. Now add eggs one by one in the batter.
  3. Add a few drops of vanilla essence, semolina, and baking powder.
  4. Beat till it is well combined.
  5. Grease and line a cake tin, and spread sliced almonds on the base.
  6. Pour cake batter on top.
  7. Now bake in the preheated oven for 35 – 40 minutes.
  8. Then remove from oven, and let it cool completely.
  9. Unmold and top with prepared syrup.
  10. Delicious Rava Cake is ready to Serve.
