Ingredients
- ½ kg Gram lentils soak for 6 hours
- ½ kg Sugar
- 1-½ cup Ghee
- 1 litter Milk
- 4 Green cardamom crushed
- 1 tsp Green cardamoms grounded
- ½ cup Khoya
- 3 tbsp Almonds blanched and sliced
- 3 tbsp Pistachio
- a pinch of Yellow color
- Silver paper as required
Cooking Method

Boil the soaked gram lentils in milk.

Cook for 20-25 minutes or milk dries and the lentils are tender.

Allow the lentils to cool then blend.

Heat 1-½ cup ghee in a pan.

Add cardamoms along with the ground lentils.

Cook and stir for at least 30 minutes or until light brown.

Then add in sugar and continue to cook for 10 minutes or until well cooked

Halwa looks thin at this time, keep frying well till it leaves ghee at the sides of the pan.

Now add khoya and cook for another 10-15 minutes.

Dish it out.

Sprinkle blanched almonds and pistachios.

Top with silver paper and cut into pieces.
