A single pot dish of chicken and rice flavoured with a burst of chillies mingling with the aroma of varied spices. Follow this Chicken Reshmi Biryani Recipe by Chef Mehboob Khan, your family will love  it.

Ingredients
  • 750 gm Chicken boneless
  • 1/2 kg Onion sliced
  • 4 tbsp Chopped coriander
  • 2 tbsp Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Ginger
  • 3 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 pinch Yellow food color
  • 3 cups Seyla rice
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Whole all spices
  • 3 tbsp Green chili paste
  • 1/2 kg Yogurt
  • 1/3 cup Screw pine
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil in a pot or wok over medium heat. Saute onions in it until crispy and golden. Take it out the fired onions and set aside. 



  2. Then add ginger garlic. Cook and stir for 1 minute. 



  3. Now add chicken, all spices, turmeric and spring onions and green chili paste and cook on high flame. 



  4. Now add the half of the fried onions and with it salt and coriander powder.

  5. When the water dries up add half of the yogurt and screw pine.
  6. Then turn the heat on low and add the rest of the yogurt and screw pine and let it cook for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender. 

  7. After that boil rice in salted water and it on the qorma to simmer it.
  8. Garnish it with rest the fried onions and put the lid on ( or give it dum) for 15 minutes or until done.  

  9. Transfer into a serving dish. Delicious Chicken Reshmi Biryani is ready to serve. ENJOY!

Serving Suggestions

Serve with raita and salad.

  1. There was no spring onion mentioned in the ingredient list while they have asked to add in the cooking method… 🤔
