Ingredients
For Cupcakes:
- 1-½ cups Flour
- 1-½ cups Caster sugar
- ¾ cup Cocoa powder
- 1-½ tsp Baking soda
- ¾ tsp Baking powder
- ¾ tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- ¾ cup Butter milk
- ¾ cup Warm water
- ¼ cup Oil
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
Buttercream Icing:
- 1-½ cups Unsalted butter
- ¾ cup Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 3-4 cups Icing sugar
Cooking Method
To Make the Cupcakes:

In a large bowl, sieve together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Add eggs, buttermilk, warm water, oil, and vanilla.

Beat until smooth.

Fill each cupcake case 2/3 full.

Bake at 180 degrees C for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cupcakes comes out clean.

Let it cool completely.
To make the Frosting:

Beat butter until fluffy.

Add in cocoa powder and vanilla essence.

Beat in icing sugar, 1 cup at a time.

Transfer frosting to a piping bag and pipe onto completely cooled cupcakes.
