Ingredients
For Hareesa:
  • 250 gm Boiled wheat
  • 250 gm Yogurt
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 cup Oil
  • ½ kg Chicken karahi pieces
  • 50 gm Green chilies
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp Boiled spinach
For kebabs:
  • 200 gm Chicken mince
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder
  • Chaat masala as required
Cooking Method
To Make The Hareesa:
  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot over medium heat.
  2. Saute onion in it until golden brown.
  3. Then add chicken, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, boiled spinach, green chili, salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder.
  4. Cover the pot and let it cook on low flame for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  5. Now add boiled and crushed wheat.
  6. Let it cook on low flame until thickened, keep stirring occasionally.
To Make The Kebabs:
  1. Mix together the chicken mince with red chili powder, salt and garlic paste.
  2. Form into kebabs of an inch thin.
  3. Fry kebabs in hot oil and add to hareesa.
  4. Dish it out and sprinkle chaat masala over it.
  5. Lahori Hareesa is ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions

Serve with Naan.
