Here's an easy and quick to make karahi potatoes recipe by Shireen Anwar that is prepared with few simple ingredients like potato, mustard seeds, curry leaves and other spices.

Ingredients
- 4 potatoes cut into round slices
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 2 onions thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 tsp ginger minced
- 1 fresh red chili thinly sliced
- 1 green chili thinly sliced
- 6 curry leaves
- 6 whole red chilies
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp onion seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
- 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
- salt to taste
Cooking Method

Heat oil in a deep pot or wok.

Add all seeds, curry leaves, whole red chilies and cook for 1 minutes or until its start crackling.

Then put chopped ginger and garlic in it.

Cook for 30 seconds.

Now add onions and cook for 5 minutes or until light brown.

Place sliced potatoes and green chili in it.

Season with salt and red chili powder.

Add 1 cup water then reduce heat to low.

Cover and let it simmer for 15 minutes till potatoes are tender.

Take it out in a serving bowl.

Garnish with coriander leaves. Karahi Potatoes are ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with Rice or Chapati.
