Ingredients
  • ½ kg rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp oil
Cooking Method
  1. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes. 

  2. Heat oil in a wok or pan over medium heat. Sauté  chopped onions until crisp and golden.

  3. Now add ginger garlic paste, cumin seeds, and turmeric powder. Cook and stir well.

  4. Now add soaked rice with 1-½ glass water and 1 tsp salt and let it cook on medium flame.

  5. When water has evaporated, put on dum and allow simmering for 15 minutes. Delicious Tarkay Walay Chawal is ready to serve. 

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with any curry.
