Ingredients
For Kofta:
  • ½ kg Mince
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 tsp Poppy seeds heaped grinded
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 raw Onion grinded
  • 1 tsp Desiccated coconut grinded
  • 2 tbsp Roasted gram
  • ¼ tsp Mace
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Brown onion grinded
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1 Bread slice soaked in milk
Ingredients for gravy
  • 4 tbsp Brown onion
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tbsp Allspice
  • 1 tbsp Kewra water
Cooking Method
To Make Kofta:
  1. Put all the ingredients in food processor and process until well combined.
  2. Take the mince mixture into a bowl and make koftas.
  3. Fry koftas for 8-10 minutes or until light golden and keep aside.
To Make the Gravy:
  1. Heat oil add ½ cup water with Brown onion, Coriander powder, Chili powder, Salt, Yogurt, Ginger garlic, allspice.
  2. Cook 1-2 minutes then add 2 cups of water.
  3. When water comes to a boil add fried koftas and cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes or minutes or until gravy thickened and oil comes on top.
  4. Add kewra water and turn the flame off and take it out a serving bowl.
  5. Raj Shahi Koftay are ready to serve.
  6. Serve with Naan, Roti, or Rice.
